Phoenix - County leaders intend to reopen the County Administration Building at 301 West Jefferson Street on Wednesday, July 3.  The building was closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday after an electrical fire knocked out power to several downtown Phoenix facilities on Sunday night.  The County Administration Building houses the Treasurer's Office; Assessor's Office; much of the County Attorney's Office; Board of Supervisors; and executive leadership.

According to APS, power to the administration building is expected to be restored between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.  County leaders are alerting staff who work in the administration building to report to work as usual on Wednesday.  For the past few days, those employees have been working in alternate downtown locations or from home.

  • Thursday, 7/4: Closed for 4th of July holiday
