June 7, 2017 – PHOENIX – The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors seeks applicants for appointment to the position of South Mountain Precinct Constable. Jimmie Munoz, who served as constable for 15 years, resigned effective May 31. A constable serves the criminal and civil processes of the justice courts and other legal parties.
The vacancy will be filled by the Board of Supervisors. By law, the appointee must be a Democrat, live in the South Mountain Justice Precinct, and be a registered Arizona voter. The appointee will serve out the unexpired term through 2018. The next elections for the position will be the primary and general elections in 2018.
