The Board accepted the resignation of former District 2 Supervisor Steve Chucri in October. He vacated the position on November 5, 2021. To be considered for the position, applicants had to be registered to vote in District 2 and be a Republican like Mr. Chucri. This map shows the boundaries of District 2.
Following the day of interviews, Board members will meet in executive session the following week to discuss the vacancy and potential replacements. They hope to appoint the new member as quickly as possible. You can see Board meeting agendas on the Clerk of the Board webpage.
The appointee will serve in this position until the person elected in the November 2022 General Election is sworn in.
