Homeowners and renters living in the communities of Gila Bend, Guadalupe, Tolleson, and Youngtown may be qualified to receive services from the Human Services Department's Lead Safe Maricopa County program. This no-cost program will be launching in early 2020 and aims to reduce childhood lead poisoning by creating lead-safe housing for the County’s most vulnerable families. Services available for eligible homeowners and renters will include lead-based paint home inspections and hazard reduction services.

To apply for the Lead Safe Maricopa County program, follow the step-by-step instructions below.
To qualify for the Lead Safe program, a homeowner or renter must meet the following criteria:
Housing is in the communities of Gila Bend, Guadalupe, Tolleson, and Youngtown
Housing was built before 1978
Housing is a single-family home or an apartment complex with less than 15 units
A child under the age of six (6) or a pregnant woman lives in the home ora child under the age of six (6) visits at least three hours a day on two (2) separate days a week
Household’s total income is at or below 80% Area Median Income
